Ideascale proposal - https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/58146
Problem
The educational resources, links and calendar dates for Catalyst are scattered and don't have a friendly user interface.
Solution
Create a user friendly calendar page and aggregated resources for learning about Catalyst.
Description
The Catalyst process is complex for newcomers. There are multiple stakeholders with different roles, a number of processes to learn and an even increasing amount of content from proposals to understand. The purpose of having education resources will be to document the Catalyst process in a visually appealing and easy to understand format. The resources will be updated as the Catalyst process changes and improves over time. There are two main parts to the education resources:
- Establishing a Community Calendar - Community members should always be able to easily see what is happening at the moment in the Catalyst funding process. A Calendar will help members more easily to work out what they should be doing or plan for at any given moment.
- Aggregating Relevant Resources - Information about Catalyst that are clustered throughout different channels will be aggregated on the Project Catalyst Community Website and inform relevant stakeholders in a concise way. There will be information to address the needs of Community Advisors, proposers and voters. This information will be updated as the Catalyst funding changes over time and linked to other resources or social accounts that people may want to use.
Development roadmap
- Gather and format the Project Catalyst data for the calendar information to add to the website database.
- Create the calendar page based off the Catalyst data.
- Create the resources page using the content from content creators, any existing Catalyst landing pages (e.g. https://project-catalyst.github.io/) plus any further visual improvements.
